As of last year, a 16-year-old Girl Scout has tried to warn responsible adults of the dangers of overloaded trucks driving downhill on Angeles Crest Highway. Nobody listened, resulting in another crash on Wednesday, killing 2 and injuring 12.
This is the perfect opportunity to preach about children and teenagers not having a voice and not being paid any attention when really, they are sometimes much more observant than adults and can perceive things that they can’t. But all I really want to know is why she’s still in the Girl Scouts at 16, and whether you can really even be a Girl Scout at 16.
I don’t get it. I never went to any kind of Girl Scouts so I wouldn’t know a thing about it.

California is getting rid of dark coloured cars. It’s because their air conditioning has to work harder to cool down the passengers. It makes sense, of course. It’s a basic rule of science: dark colours=keeps in heat, light colours=reflects heat.
For the sake of the planet or not, it does seem to be a restraint on free will, sorta. But then again, why would you buy a dark coloured car if you lived in California, God’s Metropolitan Furnace?
