Star Trek basically wins. I just watched it. I can confirm this.
Now, if you’ll give me a moment, I need to gush about how incredibly hot Chris Pine was. If you see a lot of girls going to see Star Trek… he may be a factor. It was simply amazing- the guy playing his dad was hot too. But seriously; he’s made me like Star Trek (I’ll see how long I can hold off before I start drowning myself under Star Trek episodes) and if the Green Lantern thing goes through and he plays Hal Jordan? Well, he’ll pretty much own me forever.
Okay, done gushing. I would highly recommend going to see it- whether you’re a fan or not (I wasn’t). While I’ll agree with my Anti-Trekkie BFF and say that the film wasn’t completely amazing, it was worth the money and the time and the hotness. And I’m hoping the DVD will have some more scenes and stuff that I felt were missing from the movie.

17 Again receives an average of 6.2/10 from Rotten Tomatoes.
I’d just like to make some things clear: 1) I HAVE NEVER WATCHED HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL AND I NEVER, EVER, WILL. 2) I think Zac Efron is so very pretty. 3) Admitting to #2 makes me feel compelled to commit seppuku.
So… Ugh- I am actually having a hard time writing this. My brain knows it’s wrong.
I went to see the film yesterday with my friends (I couldn’t muster up enough courage to go alone) and at the end, I was asked why I wanted to see it/why was I cringing so badly now that the lights were back on. I physically could not finish the sentence: “I like Zac Efron.”
It came out sorta like this: “I like Zac Efra-Eflo-Efruuhh- Zac Efuck it, I can’t even say it right.”
Anyway, I am literally twitching as I write this so I’ll make it quick: I liked the movie, I will be buying the DVD, I would recommend going to watch it. That is all. Leave me alone. No, I am not going to watch it again. I won’t!

Because Iron-Man 2 starts filming on Monday 6th April 2009. The film will star Robert Downey Jr, of course, Gwyneth Paltrow, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle as Rhodey, Mickey Rourke as Whiplash (or Blacklash, I think, if you prefer), Scarlet Johansson as the Black Widow (O.M.G.) and Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer.
BRING IT ON.
This is the reason why I will always love Marvel more than DC.
Also, I’m compiling a list of all the rumoured superhero movies. I’ll see if it’s complete enough to post by Friday.

Rotten Tomatoes gives it 4.3/10, IMDb users give it a 5.7/10. I give it a ‘Sleeping with the lights on tonight’. But then again, I’m a scaredy-cat with an imagination that’s too big for my own good.
It was a good effort by all the cast. The scary bits start right from the beginning- so take one friend, or more, if you want to watch it.
One thing though- why the hell does Bart Allen Kyle Gallner play in so many creepy movies?

David Beckham got his 109th ‘cap’ for England, family cheers him on. I have no idea what that means (but apparently it’s something record-breaking). I just love the Beckhams.

CHRIS PINE MIGHT BE PLAYING HAL JORDAN?!? WHAT? OMG. SOMEONE CONFIRM THIS! IF THIS IS TRUE- OMG. WHAAAAAT. OMG. HA. WHOOOOOO!
Sorry about that. I just- it’s Hal Jordan. I. LOVE. HAL. JORDAN. I am unrepentant, I am maniacal. I love that fictional man. And Chris Pine. AUYSJHSDGAGV. VERY MUCH YES. I don’t give a damn about acting ability, and DC is never going to get it right anyway- so I’ll just enjoy the hotness. Chris Pine is just sooooo pretty…
Don’t look at me like that. I’m a 17-year-old girl. I’m allowed to just scream and flail like that in the middle of the night because Chris Pine may be playing Hal-freaking-Jordan. OMG, this is amazing. I hope it’s true.
Found that completely by accident, as well- literally straight after I posted the last entry. I’m quite lucky. Or unlucky, as I am likely to obsess now.
Also: who is freaking stoked about the Star Trek movie? MEMEMEME. I’ve never managed to sit through an entire episode of Star Trek. But I’m going to force myself to watch at least one before the movie comes out. Something good.
Also: GREEN LANTERN MOVIE. GREEN LANTERN MOVIE.

Kevin Richardson, the lion man. He’s got the same attraction as Steve Irwin.
Yes, I totes had a crush on Steve Irwin.
