Obviously, This One’s From Krypton! Someone Buy Him a Cape, Please

In People, Science on April 4, 2009 at 5:02 pm

Super-strong adopted baby has “myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy”.

Pfft. I don’t know who they’re trying to fool. That’s a little Kryptonian right there! I’d like to ask the parents to raise him to be an upstanding citizen, and feed him lots of corn. Maybe move to a remote part of Kansas if they can. Oh, and keep him away from shiny, green rocks.

Eat Yor Heart Out, California!

In Lifestyles, People on April 4, 2009 at 4:35 pm

Iowa has legalised gay marriage! In three weeks the Supreme Court will issue the legal order.

I hope it sticks. If the douchebags don’t pitch a fit like they did in California, then it is going to shine a favourable light on the state of Iowa- it’ll show advancement.

Children Know Best

In People on April 4, 2009 at 3:54 pm

As of last year, a 16-year-old Girl Scout has tried to warn responsible adults of the dangers of overloaded trucks driving downhill on Angeles Crest Highway. Nobody listened, resulting in another crash on Wednesday, killing 2 and injuring 12.

This is the perfect opportunity to preach about children and teenagers not having a voice and not being paid any attention when really, they are sometimes much more observant than adults and can perceive things that they can’t. But all I really want to know is why she’s still in the Girl Scouts at 16, and whether you can really even be a Girl Scout at 16.

I don’t get it. I never went to any kind of Girl Scouts so I wouldn’t know a thing about it.

Protesters get stupid at the G20 summit. The pictures have been around for a long time, I wasn’t really bothered with it but everyone has a limit.

I understand standing up and being vocal about your point of view, I understand trying to encourage change in a system that is not working. They’re all respectful things to do.

But rioting? That just degrades everything you stand for- it takes you down from being an activist to being a damn fool.

Personally, I feel sorry for the policemen and all the people on crowd control. They don’t need to be attacked like that! It’s not like the police officers make the rules- there’s no need to take out your anger on someone who can’t do anything about your problems!

And do they even consider what they’re doing to their group’s image? Nobody is going to respect that sort of behaviour and I personally find it disgusting. Someone died because the rioters wouldn’t let the police and paramedics do their job and help someone who’d collapsed!

Protesting something is all well and good- but you don’t need to get stupid about it.

Here, Have Some Immature Name Humour

Britain sees decline of Cocks, Balls and Death. They’re all surnames of course, but a cookie for you if you giggled inanely for a second like I did.

Shooting Someone’s Head Off In Virtual Reality Helps Vision

In Games, Health, People on March 30, 2009 at 1:49 am

Shooter games help with contrast sensitivity. That’s the ability to pick out changes in shades of grey on a uniform background. Video games help train this ability, something that doctors didn’t think was possible.

I think it’s time I dug out my Metal Gear Solid games.

Oh, Alfie

The 13-year-old father isn’t the father. The nation is shocked to the core. Really.

Who could have possibly predicted that the girl who got pregnant by a 12-year-old little boy could have been sleeping around? If you did, please e-mail me. You obviously have super psychic powers and I want to know if I’ll ever have Chris Pine‘s child.

Jeremy Clarkson got stuck in a portaloo not too long ago. Piers Morgan had to put in his two cents, of course he did. I imagine Jezza will retaliate eventually. I want Clarkson to win. Watch the video:

We Don’t Love The Earth

Everyone¬† forgot to turn off their lights at 8:30p.m. I think it’s because it’s a chore to turn off your lights at 8:30p.m. If I were the general population, I’d find it a chore to get up, turn off my lights and then sit in the dark for an hour.

I’ll admit, I forgot to do it. It’s a shame because I had candles ready and everything.
